Which is a shame because I really like the corded Ryobi drill that I own. I do know I will not be buying Ryobi bits in the future. I was surprised too since the bit looked to be hefty, but the tip snapped right off and I was not attempting to torque anything down that required a lot of force. I have only minimally used the drill bits for quick tasks and as of now they're all in one piece, but I did have a day where I was using some of the Philips head screwdriver bits and within about 10 minutes one of them snapped. This set so far has not proven to be any better. I ended up switching back to a drill bit from an old Skill set that I had owned for years and was finally able to finish the job and the Skill bit is still intact. Prior to reviewing this set of bits, I had purchased another Ryobi set and on a single day went through around 5 different drill bits that had snapped while in use. I have not had a lot of time to test out all parts of the set, but it has not started out well at all.

Really these Ryobi drills are professional standard, so if you are thinking they are expensive I can see why. The starter kits are a really good way to but this type of drill. Remember that a 'Bare body' tool means that there is no battery OR CHARGER with it, so keep this in mind when you ar comparing prices.Most Ryobi drills have 20 different settings which is more than enough Torque settings are important when it comes to drilling into different types of material.Most Ryobi chargers have the 1 hour fast charge which is great as you don't have to wait hours on a charge.All these model use 18v and this is a big sign of top quality Ryobi use only Lithium-Ion batteries for their drill which are faster to charge and hold their charge for much longer than the older style Ni-Cad batteries.Almost every Ryobi drill has a brushless motor which means the motor will last far longer than a motor that needs brushes to be replaced over time.The most popular battery size is 18V and most of the Ryobi battery packs will work with these combi style drills.
